Overview, Requirements, And Recommendations

Livestreaming is an interactive way for filmmakers to broadcast their content, and communicate with their audience in real time. On Projektor, there are two major components to livestreaming, creating and publishing the event on Projektor, and setting up the content on OBS.

Before you start livestreaming we recommend reading through our guides, and testing them out for yourself so you'll be confidently prepared to launch your own event. In addition, here are some basic requirements and recommendations that you'll need:

Account Requirements:

1. Create a Projektor account
2. Create a Stripe account and link it to Projektor
3. Create a project on Projektor for the film you want to livestream

Software Requirements:

1. Download OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) here
2. Windows 8 or higher OR macOS High Sierra (10.13) or higher

Hardware Recommendation:

1. At least 4gb RAM
2. At least AMD FX Quad-core or Intel i5 Quad-core CPU
3. Dedicated GPU (graphics card)

Network Recommendation:

1. Ethernet or a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection
2. Internet upload speed of at least 5 mbps
